Outside Sales Representative – Houston, TX

Sofo Foods is one of the largest family-owned wholesale distributors of Italian and ethnic foods in the United States. We are seeking a motivated and energetic Outside Sales Representative to join our growing Sales Team in the Houston, Texas market.

Position Summary

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will develop new business opportunities while maintaining and growing relationships with existing restaurant customers throughout Houston and the surrounding suburbs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, meeting new people, and helping restaurants succeed through quality products and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with restaurant owners, operators, and managers 
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory 
  • Manage existing customer accounts and provide outstanding customer support 
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations for customers 
  • Develop strategic business plans to drive sales growth and meet territory goals 
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity 
  • Stay informed on industry trends, products, and customer needs 

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of sales experience preferred, especially within foodservice, hospitality, or restaurant industries 
  • Restaurant industry experience strongly preferred (server, bartender, manager, pizza operator, etc.) 
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet sales goals 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills 
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and data entry 
  • Passion for food, customer service, and sales 
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, safe driving record, and auto insurance required 
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
