Duration/Schedule: Flexible part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer months.

About the Department and the Role:


The Human Resources & Talent team is responsible for developing skills, leadership pipelines, and building an agile organization to support Inchcape's growth. This role as a Human Resources Intern entails building and executing a robust sustainment plan and platform to support HR capabilities that the HR & Talent team is looking to expand across HR.   


The intern will be exposed to various aspects of the department including talent acquisition, compensation, retention, employee relations, training and development, benefits and more.


As a HR Intern you can expect the following: 

  • Lead and participate in projects that will influence business decisions and have an impact on the future of the organization.
  • Gain insights through research, benchmarking, feedback, and data analysis.
  • Partner with HR/TA teams to share insights and propose recommendations.
  • Participate in various department activities such as hiring, performance management, talent development to gain exposure to these processes across the organization and develop more insight into HR's impact on the organization. 

Projects may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support in the Onboarding process including New Hire Orientation.
  • Provide recruiting support for our Talent Acquisition Team.
  • Provide support and update HR knowledge based in our SharePoint.
  • Researching and recommending process improvements for special projects.
  • Providing organizational support where needed. 


This program supports one of HR’s strategic objectives related to strengthening HR employees' ability to develop products, manage projects, and work in an agile environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to express ideas and information in a clear and concise manner. 
  • Ability to recognize and respond effectively to unexpected situations and tight deadlines. 
  • Ability to create accurate and punctual reports, deliver presentations, and share information and ideas with others.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing task priorities and work situations.
  • Demonstrate ability to complete tasks regardless of obstacles.
  • Analytically driven and detail-oriented, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package and aptitude to learn new internal tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business proficiency in English.  Bilingual a plus. 


Education, Qualifications, Certifications, and Licenses

Education/Experience: 

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in your penultimate year of your bachelor’s or master’s degree studies (Graduation between December 2025-September 2026)
  • Available to work part/full-time (up to 30 hours/week) for the entire duration of the Internship Program (beginning as early as December through September, depending on your school system)
  • Student member of SHRM a plus!
  • Eligibility to work in the US.
