Primary Purpose

 

Support campus improvement efforts by strengthening Tier I instruction and delivering targeted Tier II interventions. Most of this role involves direct interaction with students in Tier I (push-in/co-teaching) and Tier II (intervention) settings. The Title I Academic Support Teacher collaborates with teachers, PLCs, campus leadership, and families to improve student outcomes for all student populations, including Emergent Bilingual (EB) students, in alignment with district priorities, federal and state accountability requirements, and Title I program goals.  Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Certification/Licensure

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Valid Texas Teaching Certificate

ESL certification preferred

Master’s degree preferred 

 

Special Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of Tier I instruction, Tier II intervention, RTI processes, and data-driven instructional practices

Knowledge of EB instructional strategies and language acquisition best practices

Knowledge of federal Title I requirements related to intervention and student achievement

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

 

Experience

Minimum of three (3) years of successful classroom teaching experience

Experience providing small-group intervention, aligning instruction to curriculum standards, and supporting EB students preferred

                 

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Co-teach and provide instructional support to teachers during lesson implementation to strengthen Tier I instruction.
  2. Provide direct instruction to assigned Tier II intervention groups using district-adopted, evidence-based instructional materials and strategies.
  3. Deliver Tier II intervention through push-in and pull-out models based on student need and campus structures.
  4. Monitor academic performance and progress of all student sub-populations, including EB students and other high-focus groups.
  5. Track student growth following each assessment cycle and adjust intervention plans based on progress-monitoring data.
  6. Maintain a clear instructional crosswalk between Tier I standards, Tier II intervention materials, and student learning targets.
  7. Provide timely, actionable feedback to teachers to improve instructional practice and student achievement.
  8. Model district-aligned instructional practices, including research-based EB strategies and language supports.
  9. Support teachers in effective use of district-adopted materials with appropriate differentiation and language supports.
  10. Support PLCs in analyzing student data to form intervention and extension groups aligned to district curriculum standards.
  11. Analyze formative and summative assessment data to identify trends, learning gaps, and instructional priorities.
  12. Support PLCs in planning targeted instruction that maintains grade-level rigor while addressing identified skill gaps.
  13. Ensure Tier II instructional materials and practices are rigorous, evidence-based, and aligned to grade-level Tier I standards.
  14. Maintain familiarity with district curriculum documents, assessments, and instructional resources.
  15. Support the development, implementation, and documentation of intervention plans within the RTI framework in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  16. Support family and parent engagement activities aligned to Title I requirements, including outreach and support for EB families.
  17. Collaborate with campus and district staff to ensure compliance with Title I program requirements, documentation, and reporting expectations

Terms: 10 months or as assigned
