Staff Accountant

About HPF: Houston Precision Fasteners produces high strength, fatigue rated, close tolerance fasteners using materials such as carbon steel, alloy steel, nickel alloy, titanium, waspaloy, A-286, monel and multiphase. Our fasteners have supported mission aircrafts such as; Joint Strike Fighters, F/A 18 Super Hornet, and Falcon 9; just to name a few. Job purpose: The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the daily accounting operations of the company. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, owns the month-end close processes, and supports audits and financial analysis to help the organization make informed business decisions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate results.
• Review and posts daily inventory entries. 
• Enter payables invoices, set up new accounts, and reconcile variances.
• Reconciles bank accounts daily.
• Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• 1-2 years of experience of Business Central
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
• Subject to environmental conditions -protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes
• Subject to hazards to include a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals
• Subject to loud constant noise
