Summary: Senior electrical designer experienced in developing design packages for electrical and control systems in coordination with an experienced team of electrical drafters, designers, and engineers for pipeline facilities and infrastructure projects using AutoCAD, MicroStation V8 or newer, and other software programs in a fast-paced project-centric environment.

General Responsibilities:

• Develop and review design packages including equipment layout plans, conduit and cable schedules, hazardous area plans, grounding plans, and wiring diagrams and schematics for various industrial facilities with minimal supervision.
• Proficiently use and apply design standards such as NFPA 70 NEC, API RP 500 when developing and reviewing design packages to ensure compliance and safety.
• Work on Low & medium voltage elect. Infrastructure, use Control Logix PLC, loop drawing development for other similar PLC platforms.
• Create drawings & documents by utilizing advanced tools & features such as external ref., dynamic blocks, functions, & formulas in AutoCAD/AutoCADE, MicroStation V8 or newer.
• Work on multiple projects at a time within a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload to deliver design packages on time under tight deadlines.
• Understand and adhere to internal and external drafting and design standards and procedures to deliver high quality work.

Required Education/Certifications:

• Formal training in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical, MicroStation V8 or newer w/certification.
• MUST have minimum of 10 years of professional full-time design experience in a 3D environment within AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation.

Required/Preferred Experience:

• Working in an office environment coordinating between drafters, designers, and engineers in multiple design disciplines including civil and piping.
• Preferred experience working in an electrical and controls capacity within the midstream oil and gas or similar industry. (Meter stations, pipeline interconnects, compressor stations, crude oil storage terminals, product loading terminals).
• Experience working full-time design in a 3D environment within AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation.
• Preferred experience w/ grounding plans, conduit & cable schedule, process & instrumentation diagram, brown field vs green field, skilled at creating existing facility project drawings & determine what applies.
• Highly motivated, proactive, with good communication skills, and has attention to detail.
