Senior Staff Accountant
Overview
This is a full-time, 100% in-office position. The Senior Staff Accountant will report to and work closely
with the Controller. This individual will provide a key supporting role in the accounting function, and will
be primarily responsible for ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information.
Responsibilities
1. Key supporting role in month end close process including review transaction coding, account
reconciliations, prepare schedules for WIP, prepaids, fixed asset and depreciation, and monthly
accruals.
2. Provide support and oversight of system integrations between accounting system and third-party
applications.
3. Reconcile payroll and sales tax entries and liability accounts.
4. Record and reconcile cash receipts daily.
5. Prepare short-term cash forecast and ad hoc reporting and analysis.
6. Gather documentation and provide support in the annual audits and tax filings.
7. Document and assess business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen
internal controls.
Qualifications
1. 2-3 years’ experience in fully cycle accounting and month end close process.
2. Undergraduate degree in accounting required.
3. Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) required.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Desire and ability to learn new software, systems, and processes.
6. Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge required, including experience with pivot tables and
using formulas such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and IF.
7. Experience in construction accounting including percentage of completion method preferred.
8. Experience with ERPs including Sage Intacct or Net Suite preferred.
9. Organized self-starter with focus on attention to details and time management.
Job Type: Full-Time- In person corporate office
Pay range: $80,000-$85,000
