FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full-Time
SCHEDULE: M-T, 9 hours (in-office)/F, 4 hours (remote)
FLSA STATUS: Salaried, Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY: The Revenue Accountant records oil, gas, and NGL’s revenue in a timely and accurate manner to ensure correct receivables and payment obligations and reporting to governmental agencies and all WI and ORRI owners. Reconciles all GL accounts related to revenue bookings. Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures the timely and accurate calculation and recording of gains or losses as they relate to pipeline cash outs
- Responsible for payment and recording cash out invoices and transportation invoices
- Validate production data; verification of pricing
- Analyze sales volume determinations, meter volume data
- Support Regulatory and ONRR reporting requirements and inquiries as needed
- Prepare assigned account reconciliations (revenue, royalty, expenses, and receivables)
- Analyze and resolve outstanding account balances
- Prepare revenue-related journal entries
- Assist in internal / external audits and take part in special projects as necessary
- Follow all internal audit/SOX controls established for revenue accounting
- Additional duties as assigned, including potential simultaneous multiple projects
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Minimum two (2) years of oil and gas offshore/onshore revenue accounting experience required
- Minimum four (4) years of general accounting experience
- Working knowledge of documentation tools and repositories to develop templates, manipulate output styles, tag and manage technical content required
- Position requires sound analytical ability. Ability to gather and communicate data logically, accurately, and concisely
- Must be able to meet rigorous deadlines and work/communicate effectively with others
- Must be able to perform most assignments with minimal supervision
- Must be proficient with MS Excel
- Ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment required
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and focus on quality; excellent organizational abilities required
- A can-do and open-minded attitude to resolving problems and delivering results required
