You'll ensure safety through arc flash mitigation, fault detection systems, and compliance with NEC, NEMA, API, and IEEE standards, while managing complex projects from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and optimization of electrical power distribution systems for pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.
  • Champion the use of automation, monitoring, and energy storage technologies to improve system performance and reduce costs.
  • Drive safety initiatives, including arc flash mitigation and fault detection, to ensure personnel and equipment protection.
  • Oversee engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Provide technical expertise in power distribution, schematics, and system layouts for new builds and facility upgrades.
  • Ensure strict compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE).
  • Proven ability to review and implement improvements from arc flash studies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general PC skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as a top priority.

Preferred:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation systems.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Background in Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC projects for small to medium facilities.
