Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and optimization of electrical power distribution systems
for pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.
- Champion the use of automation, monitoring, and energy storage technologies
to improve system performance and reduce costs.
- Drive safety initiatives, including arc flash mitigation and fault detection, to ensure personnel and equipment protection.
- Oversee engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Provide technical expertise in power distribution, schematics, and system layouts for new builds and facility upgrades.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE).
- Proven ability to review and implement improvements from arc flash studies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general PC skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as a top priority.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation systems.
- Project Management experience.
- Background in Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC projects for small to medium facilities.
