Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Manager – Construction | Houston, TX

Overview:
Energy and Resources is seeking a Senior QA Manager – Construction to oversee contractor operations and ensure quality, safety, and compliance at one of our largest energy sites in Houston. You'll lead construction QA/QC, manage multi-stakeholder coordination, and enforce HSSE standards while supporting project milestones and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construction Oversight: Supervise on-site contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contracts, and safety standards.
• QA/QC Management: Perform daily inspections, review submittals, validate test results, document deficiencies, and drive corrective actions.
• HSSE Leadership: Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and manage permits for high-risk activities (hot work, confined space, LOTO, working at heights).
• Operational Coordination: Serve as liaison between contractors, project managers, and facilities teams; support SIMOPS planning, demobilization, and site handovers.
• Risk & Compliance: Identify operational risks, maintain regulatory compliance, and participate in audits and quality walkdowns.
• Stakeholder Communication: Ensure smooth coordination with internal teams to minimize disruption to building operations and project schedules.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
• 5+ years supervising on-site construction contractors.
• 3+ years performing QA/QC inspections in construction, energy, or industrial sectors.
• Experience managing teams of 5+ personnel in compliance and safety-critical environments.
• Skills:
• Construction oversight and contractor management.
• QA/QC inspections, submittal review, and corrective action implementation.
• HSSE compliance and permit-to-work management.
• Risk management (SIMOPS planning, demobilization, operational risk identification).
• Strong communication and coordination across multiple stakeholders.
