About the role

Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in general accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly closing activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial data and provide insight into company performance.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports in accordance with local GAAP and/or IFRS/US GAAP.
• Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and controls.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Assist with tax filings, regulatory compliance, and statutory reporting.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Mentor junior accountants and assist in team development.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
• 3–7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (local GAAP, IFRS, or US GAAP).
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
  

• Experience in a multinational or fast-paced corporate environment.
• Familiarity with tax compliance and reporting.
• Exposure to process automation or ERP implementations.
• Industry-specific experience (e.g., IT, manufacturing, retail, etc.) is a plus.
