What we are looking for: 

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales team, driving revenue growth, developing customer relationships, and executing sales strategies that align with organizational goals. This role oversees daily sales operations, manages key accounts, analyzes market trends, and ensures the team meets or exceeds targets.

 What you will do:  

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing monthly and annual sales quotas for the team and individual sales professionals.
  • Set short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs.
  • Identify, secure, and develop new business while maintaining existing client relationships. 
  • Facilitate regular sales meetings, training, and performance reviews.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic accounts.
  • Manage and grow revenue with existing accounts and develop new relationships.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Establish and maintain product knowledge in the sustainable packaging industry.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline and forecasting process to ensure accuracy.
  • Work closely with production, engineers, and finance teams to support customer needs and project delivery
  • Prepare and present sales reports, metrics, and updates to senior leadership.
  • Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity.
  • Propose pricing strategies and product improvements based on market insights.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals to prospective clients and secure leads. 
  • Look for opportunities to add value to current clients and grow your business organically.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to meet performance objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

What you need to succeed:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Packaging industry experience preferred
  • Three to five years of successful technical sales experience with proven track record of securing new business accounts
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient on ERP Systems or CRM tools
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • The ability to utilize good judgement, problem solve, and execute timely and sound decisions. 
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to speak to individuals/groups at all levels of an organization 
  • Mechanical aptitude to understand packaging automation, company products and design dimensions
