Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist sales team in entering sales quote and order information into Salesforce.
  • Interfaces with customers by phone, email, and fax to address customer concerns and questions. Involves sales as appropriate to address customer issues.
  • Assist sales team in entering customer and order information into Salesforce.
  • Assist sales team with daily order entry into our Enterprise Resource Planning system (Oracle). This includes proofreading the orders to ensure accuracy of information (prices, account numbers, bill-to and ship-to addresses, etc.) relative to the purchase order.
  • Ensure timely delivery of product through expediting efforts and monitoring backlog reports.
  • With directions from the Inside Sales Team and Sales Management, assist in entering change orders or return material authorizations (RMA’s).
  • Assist Inside Sales with customer invoicing or documentation requirements.
  • Assist Sales Team with copying, filing, typing, collections and general administration activities.
  • Assist in the routing of phones, emailed and faxed inquiries to the proper inside salesperson.
  • Develop and maintain awareness of all products and services provided by Puffer-Sweiven.
  • Perform related duties as required.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Education/Knowledge:

      • Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
      • Knowledge of office administrative procedures, standard office equipment and the sales order process.
      • Knowledge in Excel and Oracle.

      Experience/Skills:

      • Direct experience in a sales and or customer service-oriented work environment preferred.
      • Experience in Sales Order Management Systems and Oracle ERP is desirable.
      • Good verbal communication skills – communicates verbally in a manner appropriate for business, engages in active listening and acknowledging skills, as well as questioning and discovery skills. Good writing skills – writes in a manner appropriate for business and messages information coherently.
      • Good computer skills – efficiently uses various computer software applications, including MS Office, to perform tasks.
