Regional Marketing and Vendor Relations Specialist

Our Regional Marketing and Vendor Relations Specialists are professionals who develop and manage product strategies from start to finish. They help plan, create, launch, and improve products to ensure they meet customers’ needs and business goals. Their main job is to ensure that Johnstone and its partners remain competitive and successful. They work closely with customers, Sales and Marketing teams, executives and vendors to define the product vision, roadmap, and features.


A day in the life:

  • Analyzes and Defines Assigned Product Segment Market: Develops a marketing plan by considering total market size, company market share, competitor market share and trends within the market.  Keeps well-informed of market influences.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Building:  Supports development of customer dealer and reward programs to retain and grow business in the region. 
  • Focus on Ecommerce Growth: Supports the development of marketing strategies and programs to grow e-commerce use and adoption throughout the region.
  • Sales Execution & Marketing Strategy: Plans and manages the product life cycle for assigned product lines including developing strategic focus calendars, activities, and collaborating with supply chain team to lead product launch strategies.
  • Internal Coordination & Communication: Partners with marketing team, sales, and branches on new customer advertising, marketing, and onboarding programs to expand business.
  • Problem Resolution & Customer Support: Supports the development of programs to utilize JU Online for dealer growth and new customer identification. Serves as the primary contact for addressing customer issues and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Tracking, Reporting & Market Awareness: Creates marketing and sales initiatives that support regional and individual market business objectives. Reviews input on customer interactions via  CRM, analyzes sales and buying behaviors, monitors industry trends, and maintains product knowledge through ongoing training.
  • Company Representation: Represents the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer-requested functions.


What we’re looking for:

  • At least 7 years of Marketing and Vendor Relations experience: is required, but this experience can come from a variety of different work experiences or educational background.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field; or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license, and maintain a professional personal appearance
  • Sales & Analytical Skills: Ability to develop customer expansion strategies and sales forecasts; skill in identifying high-value opportunities and uncovering business potential; skill in diagnosing problems and linking solutions to customer needs. 
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong listening, questioning, and two-way communication skills; ability to present programs professionally; ability to influence, negotiate, and drive customer decision-making; skill in adapting to different personalities and diplomatically addressing issues. 
  • Organization Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively; skill in executing and implementing sales programs; ability to coordinate with stakeholders; experience using tracking systems to manage follow-ups and action items. 
  • Software & Systems Skills: Proficiency in CRM software, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; ability to use data tracking, presentation, and Point-of-sale software.
