The Referral Development Specialist at Allergy and ENT Associates plays a critical role in strengthening referral relationships with physicians and healthcare providers to drive patient growth. Working closely with the Director of Marketing, this role is responsible for building and maintaining strong connections with referring medical practices, tracking referral trends, and identifying opportunities for expansion.
The Referral Development Specialist serves as a key liaison between the practice and external providers, ensuring seamless communication, education, and engagement. This individual will lead outreach efforts, coordinate events, and develop targeted marketing materials to support referral development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities |
- Partner with the Director of Marketing to develop and execute strategies that increase patient referrals and strengthen provider relationships.
- Track, analyze, and report on referral trends to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Serve as a key point of contact for referring providers, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with identified physicians and medical practices in Houston, Austin, and Dallas.
- Conduct regular meetings with potential and existing referring providers, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Address provider inquiries and ensure referring offices have the necessary information to facilitate patient referrals confidently.
- Plan and coordinate conferences, lunch-and-learns, and group events to educate and engage referring providers.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand referral sources.
- Work closely with the Director of Marketing to develop marketing collateral, presentations, and educational materials tailored to referral development.
- Collaboration & Additional Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between referring providers and internal teams to ensure a seamless referral experience for patients.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives that support marketing and business development efforts.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices to continuously enhance referral marketing strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (required).
- Progressive sales, marketing, or business development experience in the healthcare industry (required).
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently conduct meetings with physicians and employers to market Allergy and ENT Associates and their family of practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling presentations and marketing materials.
- 50% travel required.
