Description

Position Summary:

The individual aids in the recruiting functions for each SUN location. This position will assist each location in the sourcing, screening and, as needed, processing of employee positions within each location.  The individual will need to complete position responsibilities by following established guidelines and protocols within the appropriate time frame and must be flexible with his/her work schedule.  This position involves discretion and independent action within prescribed limits.

 

 

Position Responsibilities:

Clinical / Technical Skills (40% of performance review)

  • Works closely with locations to understand their business, identifying recruitment strategies and providing recruitment and workforce planning services to meet the needs to hire talented and diverse candidates.
  • Develop job advertisements and screens resumes/applications.
  • Timely sourcing, screening, and interviewing of qualified candidates to ascertain organizational fit, and schedules interviews.
  • Recruits’ passive and active candidates through a variety of creative recruitment technology strategies, tools and social platforms, utilizing cultural diversity and inclusion principles. 
  • Ensures a positive applicant and hiring manager experience throughout the hiring process which includes timely application follow-up and interview status.
  • Manage all information in the applicant tracking software.
  • Manages metrics on the hiring process across the system.
  • Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the areas of recruiting, Human Resources, and healthcare.
  • Appropriately screens applications for skill set and cultural fit.
  • Requires knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency standards related to health care organizations.   
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong decision-making and analytical skills. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Supports and demonstrates fiscal responsibility through supply usage, ordering of supplies, and conservation of facility resources.
  • Completes required training within defined time periods, as established by job description, policies, or hospital leadership
  • Exemplifies professionalism through good attendance and positive attitude, at all times.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and staff information, following HIPAA and other privacy laws.
  • Ensures proper documentation in all position activities, following federal and state guidelines.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or similar.
  • Preferred: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certifications
  • Maintains education and development appropriate for position.
  • May substitute experience for education

 

Experience

  • Required: Three years of recruitment experience in a healthcare setting
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a behavioral health setting
  • May substitute education for experience
