Summary:
The Process Designer prepares various 2D deliverables collectively with the Process Engineering team. These include BFDs, PFDs, and smart P&IDs, as well as data exports for line list, instrument, and valve reports. The development of deliverables requires knowledge in industry codes and standards, as well as skill in CAD techniques and design procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of process flow diagram layouts
- Assist in the creation of smart P&IDs from sketches
- Ensure design is in conformance to project specifications
- Modify existing designs to reflect required updates and changes
- Update smart P&ID database as directed
- Create and maintain project files and drawings as required
- Ensure project information is incorporated into project documents
- Develop process flow diagram layouts
Education and Experience:
- 3-5 years of closely related experience.
- High School (High school diploma) diploma or equivalent.
- Design/Drafting Certificate (Trades certificate / diploma) or a minimum of 3 years of related job experience.
- AutoCAD Plant 3D (Basic)

- PDF Editor (Basic)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Basic)
- COMOS (Basic)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to reach, stand, walk, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motions.
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
