Our client, a growing Houston area law firm in the Galleria area, has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Complex Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The firm offers a hybrid work schedule, 1 remote day per week starting on your first day and then 2 remote days per week after 6 months of employment; great benefits and competitive pay!
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Legal document preparation
Communication with clients and legal teams
Assisting with depositions and trials
Document review tasks to support the legal proceedings of the firm
Trial preparation and trial attendance for insurance defense and complex commercial litigation cases (occasional travel is required for trial)
Qualifications
Law and legal document preparation skills
Strong communication skills
Document Review abilities
Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience working in a law firm or legal setting
Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
Paralegal certification or Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies
7 years or more of solid defense litigation experience managing complex cases
Defense Complex Litigation Trial attendance experience is required, no exceptions
