Outside Sales Representative – Valves, Actuators & Industrial Components

GRS is proud to partner with a respected process control distributor in the Greater Houston area to identify a driven and experienced Outside Sales Representative. This is a high-impact role for a professional looking to lead client relationships and drive business growth across dynamic industrial markets.

What You’ll Do:

  • Directly engage with end users, contractors, and engineering firms to promote and sell valve and actuator solutions, along with related components like pipe, fittings, tubing, and instrumentation.

  • Conduct cold calls and build meaningful relationships in key verticals including Oil & Gas, Chemical, Data Centers, Battery Centers, Industrial Oil, Refining, and Pulp & Paper.

  • Leverage your industry knowledge and technical expertise to consult clients and close sales opportunities in a diverse, fast-paced environment.

  • Utilize CRM tools to track leads, manage pipelines, and drive efficiency.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to clients, offering both solutions and value across their operations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven outside sales experience—we’re not seeking inside sales profiles.

  • Solid understanding of valves, actuators, and process instrumentation.

  • Industry exposure to complex, industrial sectors with a consultative selling approach.

  • Comfortable with prospecting, client visits, and independently building a book of business.
