Outside Sales Representative 

 

We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative for Texas Johns for the Houston area. We are a young company looking for an individual that wants tremendous growth potential and opportunity as we grow. This individual must be self-motivated as supervisor oversight is limited. 

Duties: 

  • Traveling within an assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers
  • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads 
  • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs 
  • Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs 
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale 
  • Maintains detailed reports and records of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems 
  • Researching competitors’ services, products, and pricing as well as market conditions 
  • Provides periodic territory sales forecasts 
  • Performs other duties as assigned 


Required Skills: 

  • Experience in construction and special events; familiarity with construction sites 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills 
  • Strong consultative sales skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Familiarity with CRM and Lead generation Software 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software 


Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or GED  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field a plus 
  • At least 2+ years of related experience required. 
  • Experience in project management a plus
