Deblin Health Concepts is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide high‑quality psychiatric care within our Acute Day Program in Houston, TX. This role offers flexibility (1099 or W‑2), a competitive hourly pay structure, and a productivity‑based model designed to support both clinical excellence and work‑life balance.

Position Summary

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with mental health needs while collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary treatment team. This role provides direct psychiatric care, medication management, and clinical oversight while ensuring accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency guidelines.

The PMHNP plays a key role in developing and implementing individualized care plans and communicating significant clinical findings to leadership and medical providers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, admission assessments, follow‑ups, and urgent consultations
  • Diagnose mental health disorders and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide medication management, including prescribing and administering psychotropic medications and injections
  • Order and review diagnostic tests and adjust treatment as needed
  • Provide counseling using advanced psychotherapeutic techniques
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary treatment planning
  • Respond to emergent situations and provide crisis intervention and CPR/first aid when necessary
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Coordinate care and communicate clinical updates with physicians, DON, and leadership
  • Maintain equipment and supplies necessary for patient care
  • Engage in continuing education and professional development

Schedule & Productivity Model

  • Full‑Time requirement:
    • 32 billable hours per week
    • 8 administrative hours per week
  • Overtime eligible once exceeding 32 billable hours per week
  • Local travel within the Houston area as assigned

Compensation

  • W‑2 Employees:
    • $60–$65 per hour, based on experience
  • 1099 Contractor option available
  • Productivity‑based compensation model

Qualifications

Education & Licensure (Required):

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Graduate of an approved nursing program
  • Active license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Texas
  • CPR Certification (required)

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort in multidisciplinary settings
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills

  • Independent clinical judgment required with leadership support available as needed
