The Manufacturing Systems Coordinator supports and improves production workflows by combining hands-on manufacturing knowledge with strong system and software proficiency.
This role is responsible for maintaining and improving digital inspection forms, quotation tools, ERP data accuracy, and production reporting systems — while continuing to perform core production control duties such as work order generation and shop floor support.
This is not a traditional scheduling-only role. It requires someone comfortable working inside systems, analyzing data, identifying inefficiencies, and improving how information flows from inspection to quote to production to shipment.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Systems & Process Support
• Maintain and improve electronic inspection forms and digital workflows.
• Maintain and support the Expert Quotation System.
• Identify improvements in ERP/MRP data structure (BOMs, routings, labor standards).
• Analyze production data for accuracy and efficiency improvements.
• Support tablet-based data collection and shop floor system usage.
• Update operation standards based on actual performance data.
• Improve production reporting and dashboard visibility.
• Assist with system clean-up and standardization efforts.
Production Control Functions
• Generate customer repair work orders from inspection forms and quote templates.
• Create stock work orders as directed or recommended by MRP.
• Print, distribute, and update work orders.
• Review work orders for proper labor and material issuance.
• Identify materials requiring expediting.
• Monitor and report on production performance metrics including:
– On-time shipment
– Labor performance vs. standards
– Job cost vs. estimate
– Direct/Indirect labor ratios
– Bottlenecks and labor shortages
Perform additional duties as assigned.
