Manufacturing Supervisor - Threading

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and leading daily shop-floor operations within the threading department to ensure safety, quality, production efficiency, and employee development. This role drives operational discipline, enforces process control standards, and ensures production commitments are achieved safely and reliably while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Supervisor works the night shift from 3pm-3am Monday-Friday, weekends as needed by business.
Your Role at a Glance
- Lead daily Level 1 meetings, CCLs, and coach team members on standard routines
- Drive safety performance through reporting (UA/UC/Near Miss) and enforcement of standards
- Execute daily production plans and ensure schedule adherence
- Monitor reject rates and maintain order traceability
- Assign daily work and manage operator schedules
- Support hiring and development of frontline employees
- Enforce process control parameters and operational standards
- Handle non-conforming products and support quality release processes
- Manage down day scope, backlog resolution, and maintenance coordination
- Ensure completion of safety training and maintain compliance with Level 1 safety requirements
- Oversee shop floor conditions to meet corporate and group standards
- Lead improvement initiatives (SOPs, TPM, 5S, and management routines)
- Manage small-scale projects (under $70K), ensuring scope, cost, and timeline adherence
What Sets You Apart
We’re looking for individuals who bring the right mix of experience, mindset, and motivation:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or technical certification preferred
- 5+ years of manufacturing/industrial experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Knowledge of threading processes, industrial safety practices, and production operations
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or continuous improvement tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to coach and develop frontline teams while driving accountability
- Experience managing multiple priorities and cross-functional coordination
- Proficiency with OEE, RCA, and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities
