The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. This person should have experience working in an office environment with exposure to sales activities. The candidate must have good relationship-building ability—via verbal, written, and virtual contact—to be successful in this inside role. The candidate must be able to sell the value of fire protection products and services in protecting customer assets, people, and contents. Additionally, they will engage in basic business development to maintain the branch’s competitive edge.
Develop target customers from existing service contracts within the branch
Scrub data to find high-potential prospects and capitalize on closing sales
Initiate sales calls with existing customers to secure service contracts for the branch
Coordinate with Service Sales Representatives when needed to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
Communicate with the branch to arrange any required equipment or services
Process all required paperwork for each contract
Provide sales and administrative coordination for fire protection services
Assist branch administration personnel in invoicing contracts when needed
Provide timely and accurate entries into operating systems
Ensure strict adherence to Service Excellence programs
Deliver excellent customer service across the branch’s accounts
Consult with various teams or management to ensure a positive customer experience and quality outcomes
Communicate with customers to maintain and strengthen working relationships
Attend meetings and provide regular status updates to management
Implement continuous improvement projects to standardize and streamline processes
Support corporate initiatives and meet the branch’s profitability targets
Foster a cohesive team atmosphere with other service sales representatives and superintendents, maintaining positive relationships
Engage in basic business development activities to identify new sales opportunities and expand the branch’s market presence
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with effective analytical skills.
Experience initiating contacts with customers and providing follow-up to ensure strong customer service.
Experience working against deadlines and a good record of completing projects on time.
Advanced oral and written communication skills allowing effective communication with customers, superintendents, field personnel, and management.
Solid decision making and problem-solving skills.
Strong time management skills with great attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and perform with a sense of urgency.
Proven ability to appropriately negotiate.
High school diploma or GED
Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to utilize phones and email to communicate with others.
Manual dexterity, to operate a computer system, copy/fax machine and write legibly. Requires typing and using a mouse.
Ability to sit at a desk/computer station and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
