Human Resources Data Processing Specialist

Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Director of Human Resources
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week; overtime as required)
Work Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid remote/office schedule available following successful completion of initial training period)

Position Summary

The Human Resources Data Processing Specialist provides administrative and data-processing support to the Human Resources department, with responsibility for accurate employee onboarding, HRIS data maintenance, reporting, and audit support. This role requires strong Paycom proficiency, attention to detail, and a working understanding of HR processes and compliance documentation while coordinating effectively with multiple internal teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process new employee onboarding in Paycom, including data entry, employment documentation, and I-9 completion and verification.
  • Maintain accurate and current employee records in HR systems.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain standard HR and labor reports.
  • Compile and organize documentation in support of internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with HR, Payroll, Operations, and other departments to resolve data and documentation issues.
  • Update and standardize job descriptions using company-approved templates.
  • Review data for accuracy and escalate discrepancies as appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR administration, HR data processing, or a related role.
  • Paycom experience required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required (verbal and written).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of HR processes, compliance documentation, and HRIS data management.
  • Experience supporting audits or compliance reporting.
  • Experience working in multi-location or multi-state organizations.
