About the Role:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in aligning business objectives with employees and management within the transportation and warehousing industry. This position serves as a strategic advisor to leadership, providing expert guidance on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development to drive business success. The HRBP is responsible for implementing HR initiatives that support operational goals while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws. By fostering strong relationships across departments, the HRBP helps to create a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement and productivity. Ultimately, this role ensures that human capital strategies are effectively integrated into the overall business plan to support sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably within the transportation or warehousing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including business correspondence and report writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISHΒ 
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR.
  • Experience with organizational development and change management initiatives.
  • Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and data analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing training and development programs.
  • Previous experience as a strategic HR partner in a transportation or logistics company.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals and enhance workforce capabilities.
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution to maintain a productive and compliant workplace.
  • Manages full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing and screening to hiring and onboarding top talent.
  • Analyze workforce data and write detailed reports to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and deliver training and development programs that address skill gaps and promote career growth within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws by monitoring regulatory changes and updating policies accordingly.
  • Manage multiple conflicting priorities by balancing urgent business needs with long-term HR initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain effective business correspondence and communication channels to support HR operations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Contribute to organizational planning by assessing current and future talent needs and recommending actionable solutions.
