The Financial Reporting Accountant will support the Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, monthly closes, financial statement preparations, and audits for a multi-location company in 8 states. This position demands a comprehensive knowledge of general accounting. It entails regular interaction with the Legacy senior and regional management team. All responsibilities of this role must be performed in accordance with the company’s established policies and procedures.
Essential Functions and Competencies
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements. Help define the expectations and reporting/analytical requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory financial statements as required.
• Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial reports for senior management, including key metrics and performance trends.
• Assist in monitoring monthly/quarterly financial performance against budget, identifying variances and providing insightful explanations.
• Assist in developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with strategic objectives.
• Work seamlessly with the Controller to conduct deep-dive analysis of business operations to identify areas for cost optimization and revenue growth.
• Assist with projects and other reports as required.

Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree with Accounting or Finance Major
• Minimum 5 years experience in Accounting
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
