Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Houston, Texas

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer with at least 2 years of experience to join our growing team. This role involves both office-based design work and field assignments, with opportunities to work on diverse projects across multiple industries. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

- Develop detailed engineering plans, technical specifications, and reports for power distribution and electrical systems.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate existing systems, gather field data, and support commissioning activities.
- Create one-line diagrams, electrical room layouts, raceway and wiring layouts, and schedules.
- Design lighting and grounding systems.
- Specify electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, power panels, and associated components.
- Perform power analysis using EasyPower and/or SKM, including short circuit, arc flash, and protective device coordination studies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NFPA, IEEE, ANSI, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as needed.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting or collaboratively in the office.
- Commitment to following safety requirements of both InterMat and client organizations.
