Overview

Position Overview

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), Credit Administrators help keep our financial operations strong—managing credit processes, resolving issues, and delivering outstanding service. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills ensure accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction every step of the way.

PLEASE NOTE: This position can be based either in Dallas, TX or Houston, TX

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  1. Administrative Responsibilities   
  • Provide material releases and other documentation for customers as needed
  • File and coordinate applicable preliminary notices and related documentation as needed
  • Process standard daily reports and deposits
  • Possess strong attention to detail and able to detect discrepancies in data and written documents
  • Maintain office supplies & office equipment
  • Must attend all required meetings in relation to accounting and overall company

 

  1. Financial Support 
  • Prepares and sends to customers vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports and other records and reviews for accuracy
  • Provide assistance to Credit Managers in processing money transactions, invoicing, reconciliations, verifying posting substantiating business transactions, and other tasks on a daily basis
  • Monitor and Follow-up on any outstanding Accounts Receivables by the direction of the credit manager
  • Process credit applications by checking references and credit reports and ensuring completeness
  • Collection calls when needed

 

  1. Safety
  • Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment
  • Use proper lifting techniques

 

  1. Physical Requirements
  • Occasionally lift items no more than 50 lbs    
  • Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned

 

  1. Miscellaneous

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting applications including accounts receivable, and general ledger

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
