What you will be doing:
Execute commissioning activities for LV/MV electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, generators, UPS, grounding systems, and protection relays.
Assist in the development and implementation of commissioning plans, procedures, ITPs, and functional test protocols.
Carry out FAT, SAT, loop checks, continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, and protection coordination verification under approved procedures.
Perform primary and secondary injection testing and support relay testing activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during start-up and system integration, escalating complex issues when required.
Coordinate day-to-day commissioning activities with engineering, construction, QA/QC, safety teams, vendors, and clients.
Review electrical drawings, SLDs, schematics, and equipment datasheets to verify compliance with project requirements.
Prepare commissioning records, test reports, progress updates, and handover documentation.
Support timely completion of commissioning deliverables in line with project schedules and quality standards.
Experience you will need:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5 - 6 years of experience in electrical commissioning, start-up, and testing.
Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and NETA ATS/MTS standards.
Experience in industrial plants, oil & gas, power systems, HVAC/mechanical integration, or data centers.
Proficiency in electrical testing tools (IR testers, primary & secondary injection, relay test kits, Hi-Pot, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings.
Strong leadership, communication, and client-handling skills.
