What you will be doing:

  • Execute commissioning activities for LV/MV electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, generators, UPS, grounding systems, and protection relays.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of commissioning plans, procedures, ITPs, and functional test protocols.
  • Carry out FAT, SAT, loop checks, continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, and protection coordination verification under approved procedures.
  • Perform primary and secondary injection testing and support relay testing activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during start-up and system integration, escalating complex issues when required.
  • Coordinate day-to-day commissioning activities with engineering, construction, QA/QC, safety teams, vendors, and clients.
  • Review electrical drawings, SLDs, schematics, and equipment datasheets to verify compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare commissioning records, test reports, progress updates, and handover documentation.
  • Support timely completion of commissioning deliverables in line with project schedules and quality standards.

Experience you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5 - 6 years of experience in electrical commissioning, start-up, and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and NETA ATS/MTS standards.
  • Experience in industrial plants, oil & gas, power systems, HVAC/mechanical integration, or data centers.
  • Proficiency in electrical testing tools (IR testers, primary & secondary injection, relay test kits, Hi-Pot, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-handling skills.
