We are seeking a skilled CADD Designer to join our team immediately. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and redesigning complex layouts and drawings based on general written or verbal specifications provided by the Group Leader. You will also produce CADD drawings for new or improved products, ensuring adherence to industry, departmental, and discipline standards.
What you will do:
- Create detailed schematics incorporating all collected data.
- Review plans with all engineering standards and codes including client specifications.
- Create plans & profile drawings, schematics, details, and site drawings site plans and tower drawings.
- Provide CADD support for systems through the preparation of construction plan & profile drawings, plotting, scanning, and meeting project schedules in a timely manner.
- Design of subdivision electric overhead and underground utilities.
Who you are:
Mathematics comes naturally to you and is used for problem-solving and analysis. You are a critical thinker who can apply knowledge to new assignments and use critical thinking to bring everything together.
What you bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years’ related experience.
- Proficiency in utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment.
- Basic understanding or willingness to learn NESC, NEC, and EIA/TIA, and BICSI/ANSI codes and standards.
- Knowledge of Microstation, AutoCad, GIS systems (CNP, CPS Energy, AEP and/or PEC), Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to use a personal computer for technical designer applications.
- Ability to read, interpret, summarize, and discuss telecom drawings and utility drawings.
- Ability to communicate effectively with architects, engineers, construction contractors, clients, and management.
- Spatial and design skills to be able to visualize projects in 2D and 3D.
