Position: Assistant Account Manager
Shift Schedule: Mon - Friday (7a-3:30 pm)
Location: Houston, TX 77055 (Open to anywhere in Texas)
Job Type: Full time,6 months temporary to permanent
Start date: ASAP
Pay: $17-$23 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Account Manager to support client relationships, recruiting operations, and account coordination within a fast-paced healthcare staffing and recruiting environment. This role works closely with recruiters, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding, credentialing, scheduling, and communication for healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Account Managers in maintaining client relationships and daily account operations
- Coordinate healthcare staffing requests, candidate submissions, interview scheduling, and follow-ups
- Communicate with nurses, allied health professionals, and healthcare facilities regarding assignments and onboarding requirements
- Track compliance documents, licenses, certifications, and credentialing deadlines
- Maintain accurate records in ATS/CRM systems and update client/candidate information regularly
- Assist with timesheets, billing coordination, and issue resolution
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and staffing updates for management and clients
- Ensure timely communication with clients regarding staffing coverage and urgent needs
- Collaborate with recruiting and credentialing teams to improve placement turnaround times
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism in all interactions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience accepted
- Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare staffing, recruiting, account management, or administrative support preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills required
- Experience using ATS, CRM, or staffing software preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of healthcare recruiting, credentialing, or staffing processes is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting travel nursing, allied health, or locum staffing accounts
- Familiarity with compliance requirements, onboarding processes, and healthcare documentation
- Strong problem-solving and client service skills
