Description

Position Overview
Cimarron Energy (the Company) is a manufacturer of oil and gas production equipment, including emissions control equipment, to the upstream and midstream markets. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for general accounting and finance functions and will report to the Sr Manager of Accounting. It is critical for the Sr. Accountant to understand various accounting/finance functions and business processes.

Essential Job Functions:
The Sr. Accountant role includes general accounting responsibilities such as financial statements, general ledger, bank reconciliation, as well as supporting financial reports.

The Sr. Accountants responsibilities include:

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts including bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounts.
  • Analyzing current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, and expenses
  • Monitoring performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing causes of unexpected variances
  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and monthly financial reports, as well as presentations to the Senior Management Team
  • Helping develop a systems and processes-oriented culture by walking through and documenting key processes and procedures, and training other members of the Finance team to do the same
  • Supporting Senior Management Team and departments across the Company with in-depth analysis as needed
  • Performing other tasks as requested by the Sr Manager of Accounting

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the Syteline ERP

  • Ability to possess the highest levels of maturity, ethics, and professional integrity.
