Job Summary
The Accountant supports Children’s Museum Houston’s mission by assisting with day to day accounting operations and ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. This position works closely with the Controller to support accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and basic reconciliations.
This is an entry level role designed to build foundational accounting skills through hands on experience across multiple accounting functions. The position offers structured mentorship, exposure to nonprofit financial operations, and opportunities for professional growth within the Finance department.
This position may initially be structured as part‑time for candidates completing their degree, with the opportunity to transition to full‑time employment following graduation.
