Description

SRG Stairs of SRG Ventures is an industry leader in bringing custom stairs, blinds, and floors to the residential home market. We are currently hiring for a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our Houston team.

This position will report to the Warehouse Supervisor, and will be responsible for supporting the warehouse operations to help maintain continued efficiency and effectiveness in the warehouse workflows.

Key Position Details:

  • $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
  • Full benefits to include medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days
  • 401(k) with company match after 1 year
  • Houston Heights area location
  • Core work schedule M-F 6:00am-3:00pm

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent GED;
  • Three years of experience working in a same or similar capacity; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Valid and current Texas issued driver’s license to lawfully operate a motor vehicle, and with clear driving record for at least the past five consecutive years is required.
  • Valid and current forklift certification is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Pull inventory and stage all orders for delivery or pick-up in a courteous and timely manner

2. Receive materials from delivery trucks and installer returns, and process paperwork

3. Organize workflow to meet customer deadlines.

4. Utilize BOLT software for order schedules and pick tickets

5. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory through the receiving process, order pulling and order check-out

6. Support team members through service and flexibility

7. Become knowledgeable on all material

8. Assist in deliveries as instructed and scheduled by the Warehouse Supervisor (WS)

9. Organize and re-stock inventory to maximize order pulling efficiency

10. Perform cycle counts in coordination with warehouse supervisory personnel

11. Work with team members to cut items to include wood handrail and blinds using appropriate tools and machines.

12. Report any discrepancies or issues with our product to appropriate warehouse supervisory personnel.

13. Become knowledgeable on, and perform the completion of, safety rail installation and blinds installation

14. Operate a forklift and pallet jack

15. Communicate effectively with other internal departments including, without limitation, warehouse supervisory personnel, sales, and installation, to provide routine updates and related information essential to consistently meeting sales goals and customer expectations

16. Ensures all job duties are performed in a safe, effective, and efficient manner, and in accordance with all Company policies, procedures, and practices

17. Demonstrates consistent integrity, accountability, teamwork, and respect in all aspects of the job

18. Performs other duties as assigned

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

This position will regularly be exposed to an outdoor non-climate controlled environment, operating of a motor vehicle on roadways, operating of machinery to include, but not limited to, a forklift, lifting of up to 50 lbs, as well as other physical activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, standing, walking, seeing, and reaching.
