The Vendor Account Manager (VAM) is responsible for the governance, commercial management, and performance oversight of assigned service suppliers across one or more markets or regions. The role owns the supplier lifecycle from onboarding through renewal or exit, ensuring suppliers meet contractual commitments, cost targets, and customer experience expectations.
The VAM serves as the primary commercial and governance interface between the company and its suppliers, with accountability for contracts, pricing, performance management, risk, and compliance. This role does not manage day-to-day operational execution, which remains with supplier delivery teams.
Key Accountabilities:
Supplier Governance & Relationship Management
Own supplier relationships and act as the single point of accountability for supplier governance.
Lead governance forums including QBRs and performance reviews.
Serve as escalation point for contractual, performance, and compliance matters.
Commercial & Contractual Ownership
Lead commercial evaluation, negotiation, and contracting activities.
Manage the contract lifecycle including renewals, amendments, and exits.
Define and govern SLA and KPI frameworks.
Maintain accountability for cost control and rate competitiveness.
Supplier Performance & Continuous Improvement
Govern supplier performance through SLAs, KPIs, and corrective action plans.
Ensure performance gaps are addressed through remediation actions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Supplier Lifecycle & Footprint Optimization
Support supplier selection and qualification.
Contribute to supplier footprint optimization and consolidation initiatives.
Risk, Compliance & Sustainability
Maintain accountability for supplier risk, compliance, and audit readiness.
Ensure suppliers meet financial, regulatory, and ESG requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Legal teams.
Support RFQs and supplier-related consultations.
Contribute to governance frameworks and playbooks.
Role Scope Clarification
This role does not own operational execution, including dispatch, case handling, or technician management. Operational execution is owned by Supplier Operations / Delivery teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in vendor or supplier management.
Experience with contracts, SLAs, KPIs, and governance forums.

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
