ELM Utility Services with over 1300 employees nationwide, has an outstanding opportunity a Quality Auditor/Trainer for the Houston, Texas area. The primary role is to increase the quality of work performed in Texas and will be based out of the Texas office. This person will have daily contact with Managers, Supervisor and Field Technicians, and will utilize the Star training program to train new Field Technicians. Job duties will be performed with the assistance and/or coordination of the local Supervisors and Area Managers. Staying compliant with all customers’ OQ programs will be the trainer’s responsibility. Professional communication with all management and customers is essential and vital to the trainer position. Office hours and schedule may vary. Starting wages for this position will be $65,000-$75,000 depending on experience.

Your specific duties in this role will include, but not be limited to:
Utility auditing will be performed when training is not in session.
Integrate retraining needs into the training program.
Conduct ride-alongs to qualify technicians
When auditing, some time is spent in the field environment with some administrative work required, and this person will be exposed to all field hazards.
Occasional lifting materials up to 50 pounds is required.
Must be able to travel to various locations for extended period, up to two weeks, within the state to perform training sessions.
Specific qualifications for the position include:
Ability to pass random drug screens
Must have at least 1 year of experience in the utility industry and 1 year of underground locating experience.
Qualified applicants must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
Applicants must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite / Word and Excel experience is a plus
Previous training experience is preferred.
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license with good driving record
