General Ledger Maintenance

  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accurate classification of accounts.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner 

Month-End and Year-End Close

  • Assist with month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and income statement variance analyses.
  • Participate in year-end audit preparations by compiling supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables

  • Process vendor invoices and expense reports, ensuring compliance with policies and proper approvals.
  • Monitor and reconcile patient billing, insurance claims, and other receivables for accuracy and timely collections.

 Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Generate and review financial reports to identify trends and variances, providing insights to management.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to forecast expenses, revenues, and cash flows.

 Compliance and Regulatory

  • Ensure all financial transactions are in compliance with GAAP and healthcare industry regulations.
  • Support the organization’s internal controls by following established policies and procedures.

Process Improvement

  • Identify areas for process enhancement and automation to streamline accounting workflows.
  • Contribute to special projects, such as system upgrades or process reengineering, to improve financial operations.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to gather and validate financial information.
  • Provide accounting guidance and support for operational departments within the healthcare organization.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA certification a plus
  • 1-3 years experience, preferably in a healthcare sector or public accounting. 
  • Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement, insurance billing, or regulatory requirements is highly desirable. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Knowledge of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn in a dynamic healthcare environment.
