Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant provides support to the Accounting Manager for day-to-day accounting activities. Major responsibilities include monthly invoices, AR management, and reconciliations for MMI and its subsidiary.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly invoices

· Manages AR to meet corporate standards

· Keeps internal stakeholders informed about AR status 

· Reconciles bank statements

· Generates project level financial reports

· Updates the backlog waterfall

· Provides support for annual audit

· Responsible for cash application and calculation of discounts per client contractual agreements

· Complete accounting and reporting activities in accordance with US Generally Accepted 

· Interact with staff from other departments in the performance of routine Finance and Account activities such as invoicing, reconciliations, discount calculations, audits, etc.,

· Perform other F&A tasks from time to time as requested by the Accounting Manager

· Special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience: 

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting (minimum of 21 hours of accounting)

· 1-3 years of accounting experience


SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Impeccable work ethic and attention to detail

· Exceptional communication skills, oral and written 

· Effective time management and organization skills

· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment 

· Be exceptionally trustworthy and act with integrity in corporate financial matters

· Expert knowledge of Microsoft business applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and, NetSuite

· Expert Excel knowledge including look-up functions and pivot tables
