Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Professional to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of multiple dealership locations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and takes ownership of the month-end close process and daily accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting function. Key duties include:

• Assist Controllers with managing daily accounting operations and support the month-end closing process
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Analyze financial data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies
• Assist in preparing schedules and documentation for internal and external audits
• Process and record manufacturer statements and invoices
• Reconcile factory statements and floorplan accounts at month-end
• Post and reconcile daily banking transactions across assigned dealership accounts
• Collaborate with team members and dealership personnel to ensure smooth financial operations
• Support process improvements and identify opportunities for increased efficiency
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Be able to commute to Tomball and Kingwood dealerships.

Qualifications & Skills

To be successful in this role, candidates should bring both technical expertise and strong organizational abilities:

• Prior automotive dealership accounting experience required
• Formal accounting education preferred
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel preferred
• Valid Driver’s License required
