Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key member of the Infrastructure Team, contributing to both strategic and operational functions.
  • Manage Windows infrastructure (servers, Active Directory), physical, virtual, and cloud networking, as well as on-premises and cloud storage solutions and backup strategies.
  • Migrate, deploy, and manage physical and virtual resources; participate in an on-call rotation for critical issues.
  • Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to automate and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Create detailed documentation and runbooks for projects and system implementations.
  • Collaborate with the team to define metrics for infrastructure and cloud operations; set direction for the evolution of platforms to cloud-native technologies.
  • Partner with Information Security and Governance teams to meet security, audit, SOX, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively within the team and across business units, ensuring clarity in technical and business discussions.
  • Engage in positive collaboration with stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously research emerging technologies and best practices, sharing insights for ongoing improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with IT and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to brand awareness and foster a community around our company’s solutions.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of current and future technology architectures, organizational strategies, and business objectives.
  • Participate in developing technology standards, roadmaps, and future-state plans to improve capabilities, scalability, and performance.
  • Propose and advocate for technology standards and investments, supported by technical analysis, proof of concept, and business cases.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams, assess impacts and dependencies, and offer recommendations for effective project management.
  • Mentor team members, offering technical guidance, training, and support to align with architectural standards.
  • Monitor compliance with architectural standards to ensure the technical integrity of systems.
  • Assist senior architects in strategic technology planning, providing solutions and recommendations to support projects and business objectives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant technical experience in a systems administrator or architect role.
  • Proven expertise in architecture, with the ability to learn and assess multiple technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Deep knowledge in multiple architectural domains.
  • Experience with infrastructure sizing, capacity planning, and solution design.
  • Proven experience in designing, architecting, implementing, and managing infrastructure.
  • Certified Storage Architect certification is preferred but not required.

 

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions 

  • Primarily indoor work environment, with no exposure to extreme elements.
  • May require occasional transport of items weighing up to 25 lbs. within the office.
  • Must be able to meet essential physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
