francesca’s is writing a new story—one of reinvention, relevance, and bold growth. With 410 boutiques in 45 states, a fast-growing e-commerce business, and a powerful brand, we’re building something fresh in the world of accessible fashion. Following some hard but necessary chapters, we’re now on the rise—and we’re calling in strategic thinkers, boundary-pushers, and builders to shape what comes next.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly creative and strategic Senior Art Director to define the vision and execution of francesca’s seasonal campaigns and everyday creative across both in-store and online channels. We’re looking for someone who pairs a strong aesthetic eye with the ability to carry concepts through the full creative process—from ideation to polished final assets, with a strong emphasis on digital design and e-commerce performance.
This role sits at the intersection of brand, marketing, and merchandising—bringing ideas to life in ways that resonate deeply with our guest, while elevating and evolving the francesca’s brand voice.
What You’ll Own:
- Creative Direction & Vision: Drive the creative strategy for seasonal campaigns, product stories, and everyday brand moments across boutiques, e-commerce, social, and digital marketing.
- Digital Design & E-Commerce: Design high-performing digital assets including emails, homepage modules, banners, PDP/PLP updates, promo graphics, and site refreshes. Translate brand direction into conversion-optimized layouts that improve click-through, add-to-cart behavior, and overall user flow.
- Campaign Asset Development: Produce creative for CRM, social, paid media, influencer, and acquisition channels, ensuring consistency and engagement across all touchpoints.
- Performance-Driven Design: Use insights from analytics, A/B tests, heatmaps, and merchandising data to iterate and improve digital design performance.
- Production Oversight: Lead the creative production process—from concepting and photoshoots to editing, retouching, and final image selection.
- Operational Consistency: Execute resizes, layout variations, and platform adaptations while maintaining templates and component libraries for efficiency.
- Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with external agencies, photographers, and production partners to deliver standout creative assets.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure every piece of creative reflects francesca’s identity and maintains a unified visual voice across all channels.
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of experience in art direction, with a strong background in fashion, retail, or lifestyle brands.
- 5+ years of print retail experience with proven ability to deliver high-quality in-store creative.
- A portfolio showcasing campaign development and digital design expertise across multi-channel platforms.
- Experience designing for e-commerce and digital marketing, including PDP/PLP optimization and conversion-focused layouts.
- Familiarity with analytics-driven design improvements and A/B testing.
- Ability to translate brand strategy into inspiring, consumer-centric creative.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
You’ll Thrive Here If You:
- Love the build: You’re energized by change and see whitespace as possibility, not chaos.
- See beyond the numbers: You know that storytelling and timing matter just as much as accuracy.
- Believe retail isn’t dead—just different: You’re curious about consumer behavior, digital shifts, and how finance fuels relevance.
- Lead with humility and high standards: You expect a lot of yourself and your team, and you roll up your sleeves to help them get there.
