Summary/Objective
This position reports to the Accounting Systems Manager and contributes to administration and security of Park Lawn’s financial accounting systems, as well as the implementation of and training for these systems when integrating newly acquired businesses.
Essential Functions
- Assists with the administration and security of Park Lawn’s financial accounting systems.
- Performs maintenance of the accounting systems.
- Creates User IDs and establishes, modifies, and/or deletes system users.
- Establishes, maintains, and modifies access levels for end users within the accounting system, after obtaining proper approvals from regional Director of Ops and/or VP.
- Contributes to the implementation of accounting systems within existing or newly acquired businesses in the company.
- Basic understanding of GAAP, specifically in regards to invoice processing and cash reconciliation.
- Travels to newly acquired businesses for on-boarding and hands-on training of new or existing personnel. (For US Applicants Only)
- Provides assistance to field location administrators and office managers through HelpDesk tickets.
- Remotes troubleshooting for systems errors, and employee training.
- Operates standard office equipment such as personal computer, peripheral equipment such as scanners and printers, and various accounting related software and systems.
- Demonstrates proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office products, smart phone applications, and basic computer knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to problem solve in high-paced environments.
- Works well in team settings and able to coordinate with multiple departments to meet the goals and deadlines of an acquisition.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure
- 1-2 years of experience in administering accounting or operational systems preferably in a Funeral Home and Cemetery business
- Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Proficient use of applicable technology
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus.
- Industry and HMIS experience strongly desired.
- Demonstrated aptitude for understanding system-based processing and controls.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization.
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access and Power Point) required.
