We offer a creative and friendly environment with plenty of opportunity for advancement.

Be part of our next chapter.

francesca’s is writing a new story—one of reinvention, relevance, and bold growth. With 410 boutiques in 45 states, a fast-growing e-commerce business, and a powerful brand, we’re building something fresh in the world of accessible fashion. Following some hard but necessary chapters, we’re now on the rise—and we’re calling in strategic thinkers, boundary-pushers, and builders to shape what comes next.

This is a great opportunity to play a key role in francesca’s Accounting Team, owning accounting functions and ensuring accuracy across our financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will partner cross-functionally to oversee revenues and expense recognition, reconciliations, and reporting while driving process improvements and maintaining compliance with GAAP. We’re looking for a hands-on accounting professional who brings precision, curiosity, and a proactive approach to problem solving—someone who takes ownership, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and ensures our financial processes run seamlessly.

What You’ll Own:

  • Revenue Recognition: Prepare and record revenue-related journal entries in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all channels.
  • Month-End Close: Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Account Reconciliation: Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Finance, FP&A, and Operations teams to ensure accurate books and alignment with business performance.
  • Process Improvement: Help develop, document, and enhance internal controls and procedures to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audit requests, providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation as needed.
  • Compliance & Accuracy: Maintain strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards to ensure financial compliance and best practices.
  • Other Duties: Contribute to special projects, analyses, and process initiatives that strengthen francesca’s financial reporting.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with retail experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 experience a plus).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with Intacct ERP system preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented team player with a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.

You’ll Thrive Here If You:

  • Love the build: You’re energized by change and see whitespace as possibility, not chaos.
  • See beyond the numbers: You know that storytelling and timing matter just as much as accuracy.
  • Believe retail isn’t dead—just different: You’re curious about consumer behavior, digital shifts, and how finance fuels relevance.
  • Lead with humility and high standards: You expect a lot of yourself and your team, and you roll up your sleeves to help them get there.
