Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide safe, compassionate nursing care as a member of the profession, provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate and member of the health care team. The RN with a focus on Tuberculosis (TB) Care Management is required to function within the parameters of the legal scope of practice of an RN, and in accordance with the federal, state and local laws; rules and regulations; and policies, procedures and guidelines of Harris County Public Health (HCPH).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with the medical providers and the medical team to complete duties such as assisting with physical exams and medical procedures, administering/dispensing prescribed medication according to Pharmacy D regulations, and responding to emergency medical situations.

Education:
Associate's degree in nursing.
License:
Current licensure as an RN in the State of Texas by the Texas Board of Registered Nurse Examiners.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified (AHA approved).
Valid TX Driver's License.
Experience:
One (1) year of experience as an RN in an outpatient clinical setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and navigating Electronic Medical Record Systems.
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

This is a Full-Time | Grant-Funded position.
This job operates in a professional clinic environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
