Description

We are searching for an ICU nurse to join our OB ICU team! This role blends adult ICU-level care with high-risk OB/L&D, offering the chance to care for critically ill obstetric patients while also cross-training into Labor & Delivery. In this position you’ll provide quality nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age appropriate care in a manner that incorporates family centered principals and cost effective care. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or other degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement
  • Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact and BLS certification are required
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • 9 months of professional nursing experience
  • Knowledge of the nursing process, critical thinking skills, PALS, ACLS and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Ability to demonstrate positive and appropriate interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates good time and resource management skills and flexibility skills
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate unit specific equipment

     

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • If you are interested in OB ICU, we prefer you to have adult ICU experience
