Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Interventional Radiology teams, where they will provide specialized care to patients undergoing complex procedures related to cardiovascular and vascular conditions. RNs will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver timely and individualized interventions, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role involves conducting thorough assessments, educating patients and their families about treatment options and procedures, monitoring patient health during and after interventions, addressing complications, and implementing protocols to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all individuals in our care. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures, conducting thorough assessments to evaluate individual health needs and concerns.  
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes. 
  • Educate patients and their families about relevant care practices, including procedure details, potential risks, post-procedure care, and lifestyle modifications to support recovery. 
  • Monitor and document patients' progress, including any complications or changes in condition, and promptly communicate findings to the healthcare team to facilitate timely interventions. 
  • Support patients in managing their recovery, providing guidance on addressing challenges related to their specific medical conditions and treatment processes. 
  • Implement and adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and supportive environment for both patients and staff. 
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the cardiac and interventional radiology services, ensuring adherence to institutional policies and best practices. 
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in accordance with healthcare standards and regulations to promote high-quality patient care. 
  • Advocate for patients by addressing their concerns and needs, providing emotional support, and encouraging active participation in their care decisions.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements/Certifications:  

  • Must have a valid unrestricted RN license from any US State or territory. 
  • Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). 
  • Minimum of 1-2 Years of experience in specialty in the last 3-5 years. 

Education Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or prior experience in a military or government healthcare facility is strongly preferred. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.  
  • May be exposed to contagious diseases, radiation, and high-stress environments. 

Other Special Qualifications: 

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate. 
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required. 
  • Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance. 

Additional Information

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. 

Compensation|  Min: $50hr        Max: $75hr
