What is the opportunity?

Are you an expert in leading a team of Independent Sales/Manufacturer Reps? Do you possess an entrepreneurial/hunter spirit, strong leadership, and territory management skills? Do you understand the capital equipment sales process and work best when decision-making must be quick and decisive to enable rapid reaction to market opportunities? Do you have a strong background in boilers, thermal fluid heaters or auxiliary boiler room equipment such as deaerators?

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Regional Sales Manager to join our sales team. The individual performer will report to the Senior Manager, Business Development and will be responsible for leading a high-performance sales team in the expansion of our customer base for both Vapor Power International and Precision Boilers, LLC. Precision Boilers, LLC was acquired by Vapor Power International in 2015. This position is a dual branded role.




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.


  • Engage with representative network to drive growth in the territory.
  • Lead a team of 15-20 independent sales representatives/agencies.
  • Coach and develop sales plans with representatives to improve territory market share.
  • Expand the customer base by working with sales representatives, build and maintain relationships with key accounts, and identify new customer market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Senior Manager, Business Development and other RSM's to develop sales strategies and drive market share in all product lines.
  • Ownership and accountability of the assigned territory.
  • Manage and maintain the reporting of active proposals and overall pipeline.
  • Hire independent rep firms in open territories and implement plans to continually assist and drive sales performance.
  • Must reside in the territory
    • South Central - Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in engineered capital equipment sales.
  • Background in boilers, thermal fluid heaters or auxiliary boiler room equipment highly desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required.
  • Proven track record of successful management of independent manufacturer's representatives, meeting objectives with new order bookings, profit margin, market penetration, and representative network development.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite


Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Work Environment:

This position must perform tasks that involve mainly office exposure, sitting behind a desk performing tasks on a computer. Most of their time, the employee will spend time in the office with low to moderate exposure to noise, heat, and cold environment, other physical requirements include walking, bending, hand dexterity, speaking, seeing, and lifting/moving up to 15 pounds. Steel toe shoes, earplugs and safety glasses are always required while on the production floor.
