Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in the operations for the Pharmacy Automated Dispensing Machines (Omnicell).
- Oversees adequate par levels of non-controlled substance medications are maintained in the ADMs as documented through Par vs. Usage reports and as evidenced by lack of inventory complaints from nursing and/or pharmacy areas.
- Works with Pharmacy Computer Support and BioMed to follow up on technical or mechanical issues involving Omnicells.
- Provides support for the inventory specialist during annual inventory (non-controlled substance medications).
- Create new Omnicell configuration for non-controlled substances medications. Work with the Inventory Specialist (Controlled Substance/Omnicell) to coordinate the addition of new Omnicell.
- Ensure Controlled Substance Compliance.
- Documentation and Report.
- Participates in the education of pharmacy students and new employees as documented by signature on the objectives and competencies form.
- Informs manager in a timely manner regarding any compliant issues.
- Performs other essential functions.

Skills & Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
- RPHT-TX - Reg Pharmacy Technician – TX by the State Board of Pharmacy required
- 2 years pharmacy technician experience preferred
