This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.
The Operator I, Warehouse & Distribution Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path) is responsible for handling the daily operations of warehouses and distribution centers, optimizing storage space and material flow, and ensuring safety, efficiency, and accuracy across all activities. This role supports both inbound and outbound logistics while maintaining inventory integrity and compliance standards.
Specifics Include:
Handle daily manual and operational tasks within warehouses and distribution centers to ensure smooth, efficient operations
Receive, inspect, and store materials accurately within the warehouse
Coordinate and execute inbound and outbound logistics activities with internal teams and external partners
Optimize storage space, warehouse layout, and material flow for efficiency and safety
Manage inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies using SAP
Process goods receipts, goods issues, and stock transfers in SAP with accurate documentation
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in a timely and accurate manner
Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks), which may require certification
Maintain accurate and complete records of inventory transactions and warehouse activities
Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to support business operations
Follow established procedures and SOPs with a focus on compliance and minimal decision-making authority
Adhere to GxP regulations and ensure rigorous quality control across all tasks
Monitor and ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory standards
Complete required training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
Work Hours: 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday: 4:15 PM CST – 2:45 AM CST

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Basic computer knowledge and experience working with systems such as SAP preferred
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow safety protocols
