About the Role

We are hiring a Development & Operations Manager to lead across operations, fundraising, grants, partnerships, systems, and organizational growth. This is a high-accountability, high-impact role for someone who is mission-driven, proactive, and ready to help scale a growing nonprofit. You will report directly to the Executive Director/Founder.

Programs You Will Support

  • Summer Program – Mentorship, recreation, and peer connection to keep youth engaged and safe during the most vulnerable months of the year
  • Back to School Program – Supplies and resources that remove material barriers so low-income students start the year confident and ready
  • Thanksgiving Program – Meals and food supplies for families during the holiday season, reinforcing community belonging and well-being
  • Christmas Program – Toys, meals, and supplies that bring holiday joy and dignity to families while connecting them to year-round resources
  • Essential Goods Program – Ongoing distribution of food, supplies, and household essentials so families stay stable, and youth stay engaged
  • Education Program – Workshops, leadership development, and mentorship-aligned learning that equips youth for academic success and life

Responsibilities

Operations & Systems

  • Manage daily operations, logistics, and program coordination
  • Develop and implement workflows, policies, and procedures
  • Oversee budgets, scheduling, and vendor relationships
  • Ensure nonprofit compliance and reporting requirements are met
  • Coordinate community events and outreach activities
  • Track participation, attendance, and engagement metrics
  • Supervise volunteers and program staff
  • Maintain donor, sponsor, and grant tracking systems (CRM/database management)
  • Learn and utilize CRM, AI, donor management, and communication platforms

Fundraising, Grants & Partnerships

  • Research and apply for foundation, corporate, and government grants
  • Write and submit proposals, letters of intent (LOIs), and funder reports
  • Develop sponsorships and community partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, donors, and stakeholders
  • Support fundraising campaigns, drives, and events
  • Manage the grant submission pipeline and deadlines
  • Cultivate and retain donor and sponsor relationships

What Success Looks Like — Year-One Goals

  • Generate $100,000–$250,000 annually in grants and sponsorships
  • Submit 4–10 grant or funding applications per month
  • Increase program participation by 15–25% annually
  • Maintain a 90%+ compliance rate on all reporting deadlines
  • Achieve a 70%+ donor and sponsor retention rate

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field)
  • 3+ years of experience in nonprofit, operations, or program management
  • Proven track record in grant writing or fundraising

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $40,000/year
  • Performance-based incentive bonuses tied to successful funding outcomes, sponsorship growth, and organizational targets
  • Quarterly performance bonuses tied to revenue goals (OTE $50,000–$65,000+)
